The Art of Contouring

So this post is for all the sisters (and brothers) out there who haven’t been blessed with the strongest facial bone structure which let’s face it, is the majority of us. But luckily there is something we can do about it…

Let’s talk about the art of contouring!

It’s almost like your painting a picture on your face. Imagine a blank canvas and you are the artist. It’s all about the right shading and gradients to enhance the right sections of your face.

Follow this sketch, which shows you where the correct shadows on your face should be:

The key  to effective contouring is not high cheek bones (although that does help) but blending. You don’t want the shadows to look too harsh and unnatural on your skin, especially if you’re going out in the day.

The best thing to do is to start with a little bronzer and then gradually add more if needed.
